Description

the above is a fan piece portraying the japanese angura kei band inugami circus dan [http://www.inugami.jp], taking some 'artistic liberties' and stylized to considerable degree.

made entirely in photoshop v.6. took a look at a couple of band photos to try to convey their features in a cartoon style. also researched some accordion photos because i had never drawn one [the instrument is actually missing several keys, it looked too cluttered otherwise and i wanted BIG CHUNKY keys. but since this is a stylized drawing i didn't feel bad about it; it's akin to disney figures only having 4 fingers =P].

i tried to give a 'calligraphy' feel to the line strokes, might not show too much in this smaller version though. as for the colors, i was looking for a totally flat, two-dimensional look with a very small color range.

i'm not completely happy with this, but anyway, i've wanted to draw these guys for a while now, and here they are......
